Operation Shinedown first started as an idea by our Founder and CEO Parker Pezzati. Parker served four years in the 101st Airborne Division as an infantry officer. During his service, Parker saw families of service members who lost their lives attempt to deal with their new reality. He noticed the transition for these families to be extremely difficult, and although the military did a phenomenal job assisting these Gold Star families, Parker knew more could be done. Operation Shinedown was born.
